Community Library
What if children could build their own library and fill it with their own books?
We want to help a class of children become published authors, learn about libraries and bookbinding, and then build a community library outside their school.
The fun part? It will be stocked with books they wrote themselves.
About the Project
We don’t want this to end when the school bell rings. This project leaves behind something permanent: a physical library, built by children, stocked with their own stories, sitting outside the school for neighbours, families, and future students to enjoy for years to come.
Every child has a story to tell. This project takes that seriously. Children will go through the full journey of becoming a published author: writing, editing, illustrating, and seeing their words become a real bound book with their name on the cover. Then they'll build the library to house it.
Unique
It's not just an activity. It's a gift from children to their community.
Inspiring
That feeling of holding something you made, knowing your community will read it, that stays with you.

Print & Bind: Books are printed and hand-bound. Each child sees their words become a real, physical book.
Build the Library: We go into school to construct the community library together, then fill it with the children's books.
